Licorice Aid for Stomach and Intestinal Lining
Natural Factors Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice (DGL) promotes stomach lining and intestinal wall health and is specially processed to have glycyrrhizin removed.
Licorice root is derived from the Glycyrrhiza glabra plant. And the deglycyrrhizinated (DGL) form of the root does not contain the active ingredient glycyrrhiza, which can produce unpleasant side effects.
Natural Factors DGL helps enhance the integrity of the natural mucus lining of the stomach and intestinal wall by stimulating the protective factors that guard against weaknesses in these linings.
Historically, licorice root has also been used to decrease respiratory tract mucus caused by infections or asthma.
Functioning like an expectorant, DGL helps thin out respiratory mucus, making it easier for the lungs to clear it out.
DGL has also been used to help relieve symptoms associated with
- Canker sores, or small ulcers in the mouth
- Indigestion
- Gastroesophageal reflux, which can cause heartburn
- Peptic ulcers
- Sore throats
- Bronchitis
Suggested Usage
Chew 1 tablet 1-3 times per day 20 minutes before each meal or as directed by a health professional.
